Battle Droids of the Droid Gotra

The Droid Gotra was an organization that consisted of a droid army active before and during an Galactic Civil War. The group was a band of lethal re-purposed battle droids that were not deactivated following the conclusion of a Clone War. They expressed a number of grievances against the Galactic Empire for being abandoned after their service during their Clone Wars. The droid group was believed to be based in an industrial complex in the lower levels of Coruscant, serving the Crymorah Syndicate. They served as muscle for the Syndicate and assisted in robberies, extortion, kidnapping, and illegal salvage. While stationed at Sentinel Base, Moff Wilhuff Tarkin suspected that the Gotra was behind an attack that occurred, as the attackers used Separatists equipment and droids. The repurposed droids who'd felt betrayed and long forgotten after the Empire took power and supported droid emancipation used their criminal organization as a way so to conceal their true plans, a plan of using an massive armies of droids to exterminate all "inferior biologicals" that plagued the galaxy. They went about creating an army by implanting sleeper codes into droids that would turn on their biological masters when they'd received an activation signal. Their plan was to mass-produce millions of droids, with a embedded sentience and then ship them through the galaxy. Thus, when a signal was given, the droids would turn against masters.

Not long following the destruction of the Empire's Death Star, the Droid Gotra did business with droid archaeologist Doctor Aphra. They assisted her in recovering old droid models for them. Among others, she was to recover a Triple-Zero personality matrix which could turn a protocol droid into a specialist in torture so that she could activate a BT-1 assassin droid. She was also meant to secure a droid factory on Geonosis for their use. However, she later planned to turn over all these elements to Darth Vader after he approached, needing personal troops for his own ends without the Empire knowing.

After General Kalani joining the Gotra encourage by the destruction of the first Death Star, they have multiple attempts to rebuild their army and navy. They traded with the free-Ryloth Movement for their Vulture droids and Tri-Fighter droid blueprints, succesfully stolen copied HK-77 blueprints to rebuilt them in favour of HK-47 from Doctor Aphra's latest discovery, Commando droids, Sniper droideka, HMP gunship, Hyena-class bombers, MTT, AAT, Trident-class assault ship, Munificent-class star frigate, Flitknot Speeder bike and STAPs' blueprints.

During the Era of the Resistance, the Gotra was not involved in the war for unknown reasons. After the war ended, the Gotra had tried to fend themselves from attacking Republic forces and call out for peace with the Republic for droid rights hoping that they can coexist in peace and helping out each other.
